More Rotterdam

Here are some more Rotterdam photos. I don't feel like writing and it's pretty darn late here so I'll just quickly explain the photos.

- Walking inside the area with the cube houses. Haven't counted them, but I think there are at least 15 cube houses. I love this photo, it looks like the houses are staring at the person standing in the middle of them. There is also a video of the inside of one of the houses (the Kikj Kubus museum).

- This is the open market that's right in front of Blaak metro-train station and next to the Bibliotheek Centraal. This whole area was bombed during the WWII, so everything here is brand new and very modern (like the architecture). The open market is quite big and you can buy ANYTHING here, seriously. Food is super cheap and the clothes sold here also look cheap. LOL

- People playing giant chess inside the Bibliotheek Centraal.

- View from the Rotterdam harbor. This is the biggest seaport in Europe.

- Sunny Sunday at historic Delfshaven, which is part of Rotterdam. It used to be independent before but then it petitioned to be part of Rotterdam. It's really pretty and it is really the only part of Rotterdam that looks like everywhere else in the NL.

- The windmill is still working.

- The Oude Binnenweg street is really neat and filled with cafés, restaurants, and cool sculptures and statues, like Fikki here. He took a dump in the 1960's and nobody has cleaned after him...

- Walking on Westersingel I found this really cool piece of art. I thought it was a real tree at first but nope, it's made of copper and some other metal. I thought it was pretty cool so I snapped a few photos.
- Behind the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. I'm planning a lunch-picnic for my family when the come visit (if the weather allows it). It is a gourgeous park, with lots of ducks swimming around, flowers and interesting pieces of art.

- Bunnies! Loved these chubby lil ones. They kinda reminded me of my cat (the one lying on the grass) and my chubby Chihuahua (the chubby one behind). There is a third one, but this area is under construction (look at the background) and he is surrounded by construction equipment, so I left him out of the photo.

- Crow silhouette. I like bird silhouettes.

- Loved this tree. It's Fall in Rotterdam!

- Here's a video of the upper level inside the Cube house.
